Led by Dr. Frank LaFerla, the Administrative Core provides overall leadership to the ADRC. The Administrative Core is responsible for high-level planning, coordinating the Cores and any research projects funded through the ADRC, attracting and nurturing the development of new investigators, and managing all ADRC operational requirements (e.g., reporting, annual peer review, and compliance with fiscal and regulatory policies). Bimonthly meetings facilitated by the Administrative Core provide an opportunity to evaluate progress, discuss new opportunities, and set short- and long-term goals on an ongoing basis.
The Administrative Core and the ADRC as a whole benefit from the support and advice of several committees, including the Executive Committee, which provides feedback on scientific and administrative decisions, and an External Advisory Committee, which annually reviews progress of the ADRC in achieving its goals and overall mission.
