June 2006 - The 3rd annual The 90+ Study Appreciation Party took place in June. Over 150 people attended the event including participants, family members, caregivers, and researchers. Attendees were treated to a piano concert from participant Irene Voelker and singing from Philip Cain. Dr. Claudia Kawas gave a short presentation detailing some of the new findings to come out of The 90+ Study as well as introduced some new faces on the staff at the Clinic for Aging Research and Education (CARE).

June 2005 - Over 150 participants, family, and caregivers attended the 2nd annual The 90+ Study Appreciation Party at Clubhouse 2 in Leisure World. Attendants enjoyed lunch, music, and meeting with the researchers.

November 29th, 2004 - The LA Times Health section published an article featuring The 90+ Study titled “Blazing a Path to Very Old Age”

June 2004 - More than 140 participants, relatives, and friends, attended the 1st annual The 90+ Study Appreciation Party. Two of the study participants entertained the attendees with their poetic and vocal talents. Mr. Miller offered his soulful rendition of a poem dedicated to the American flag and Mr. Buchanan entertained the party attendees with his songs.

January 2004 - In January, The 90+ Study was featured in the Life & Times news magazine on KCET public television. The show introduced our study as well as other research exploring the latest issues related to aging. Study participants Viola Krahn and Roscoe McGuire shared their stories and experiences and were the stars of the show. Many thanks to Viola and Roscoe! (click here to see the video)
